Howden - Corporate & Commercial is in search of a Corporate Account Executive to assist their team in managing clients' insurance needs, which includes general inquiries, renewals, mid-term adjustments, obtaining quotes, and invoicing premiums. Engaging with our commercial clients, you will have a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent position. You will be based in our office and ideally be onsite for an average of 3 days per week. There will be a requirement to meet with the wider team on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the achievement of Group/Division client retention targets by delivering an outstanding level of service. Collaborate effectively with the Account Executive to devise a suitable strategy for renewals, attend client meetings as necessary, and follow up on meeting points (if applicable). Conduct market research to identify the most competitive terms available. Present renewal terms to clients. Issue renewal documentation in accordance with contract certainty. Ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of coverage and in line with company procedures. Document all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation in the system and utilize the diary system effectively. Process adjustments according to procedures, including notifying insurers, issuing revised documentation, and collecting additional premiums. Actively promote products from other divisions.

Required Knowledge:

Familiarity with all primary classes of General Insurance and the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR. A minimum of 2 years' experience working with SME or commercial clients is essential.

Essential Skills:

Strong technical insurance skills, to be evaluated through regular in-house assessments. High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to process work efficiently. Capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent client service skills paired with strong negotiation and broking abilities. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Ability to gather and analyze information from clients and respond appropriately to their level of understanding. Proficiency in persuading and influencing others.

Qualifications:

GCSEs A-C in Maths & English. Cert CII (desirable). Experience with Acturis (desirable).
