Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company, employing over 1,400 professionals across the UK.

Position Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance/Manufacturing Planner to join our team, playing a crucial role in delivering essential capabilities and development, including product innovation and testing, mission support systems, and training devices.
This position is vital in converting customer requirements into effective solutions, necessitating collaboration within multidisciplinary teams to create proposals and develop actionable plans.
Our projects are executed on an international scale, collaborating closely with Boeing Defence, Space and Security in the USA, and Boeing Defence Australia.
As part of our ongoing partnership with these business units, opportunities for travel may arise, whether for short or extended durations.

Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Planner (Level 3) will be responsible for the creation and upkeep of electronic work packages for each Maintenance Input, Repair, or Modification, utilizing the Gold ESP MRO tool in compliance with PT145 and BDUK/Boeing policies and procedures.
This role supports BDUK's efforts in providing Maintenance and Modification assistance for the UK E7 Wedgetail Mk1 AEW&C Aircraft.
Primary Duties Include:
- Developing technical work instructions that adhere to approved processes and regulatory standards, including writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Compiling and verifying technical and engineering information to create clear and logical production/manufacturing plans that meet regulatory requirements.
- Facilitating the creation, receipt, and delivery of complex electronic manufacturing plans and work packages.
- Managing configuration control of plan sets, including engineering baseline establishment lists and associated aircraft-specific plans.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should have experience in scheduled maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft/components, and be suitably trained or authorized on the relevant aircraft type or component.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to produce detailed work instructions using technical writing that meets all requirements and documentation standards.
Proficiency in Engineering Resource Planning tools, such as Gold ESP MRO, is essential, along with strong communication skills to convey technical work requirements effectively.
Familiarity with MAA Regulatory Articles, MAA Regulatory Publication Part 145, aviation Quality Assurance, and Safety Management System processes is preferred.
Applicants should be capable of interpreting Technical Documents and Drawings to provide guidance and support to teams working on aircraft or in the production of Work Orders.
Experience in managing demanding workloads while meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints is necessary.
Work Authorization
This position is for local hires in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
Security Clearance
This role requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance, which necessitates UK Citizenship.
