We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Perinatal team at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our perinatal mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership and specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of women in the perinatal period, including preconception and up to a year postnatal.
- Develop and implement effective management plans for complex cases, including decisions on prescribing in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Provide prescribing advice on psychotropic medication in pregnancy and breastfeeding to general psychiatry, maternity, and primary care services.
- Develop partnerships between agencies involved in the care of pregnant and postnatal women who experience mental disorder.
- Design and deliver training packages on awareness, prevention, and detection of perinatal mental health disorders.
- Conduct audit and research within the perinatal context.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice.
- Included on the GMC Specialist register, or within 6 months.
- Approved Clinician status, or able to achieve within 3 months.
- Approved under Section 12(2) or able to achieve within 3 months.
- MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- DBS clearance.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Willingness to engage with further training in Perinatal Mental Health to be compliant with the Perinatal National Competency Framework.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
