About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team as a Senior Building Surveyor - Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor with post-qualification experience to develop their career within a forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide a range of Building Surveying/project management duties across multiple projects in different sectors.
  • Assist with the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
  • Manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
  • Apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry issues and best practices.
  • Manage framework agreements and deliver commissions.
  • Conduct defect analysis, building surveys, and produce professional reports and specifications.
  • Understand quality, health, safety, and environmental principles in project management.
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying and developing fee-earning opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support senior managers in the day-to-day running of the business.
  • Manage project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
  • Conduct due diligence, condition, and measured surveys.
  • Design and lead small to medium-sized construction projects.
  • Provide professional services, such as party walls, asset management, and statutory applications.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) Building Surveying RICS-accredited degree.
  • Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Proven experience in all-round surveying, including pre- and post-contract project management.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, NBS, and Revit.
  • Understanding of BIM level 2.
  • Ability to manage and develop team members, including mentoring APC graduates.
  • Experience in managing clients and their expectations.
  • Compliance with all legal, professional, and corporate requirements.
