Job Title: Field Application Scientist I

Join LGC Biosearch Technologies as a Field Application Scientist I and contribute to the organization's success as part of our Global Field Service team. This role requires a multi-disciplinary molecular biology and organic chemistry background, with a strong understanding of LGC products, including instrumentation and reagents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for customer queries, including on-site troubleshooting and installation of equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical and scientific support during equipment installation and enable seamless transition to LGC platforms.
  • Work with customers to understand and validate their samples and assays on LGC instrumentation, including evaluating assay design, optimizing PCR reaction conditions, and perfecting sample extraction protocols.
  • Contribute to applications support and routine operation of the laboratory through supporting day-to-day activities.
  • Provide scientific support to meet the needs of various departments within the company.
  • Support field service engineers with fixes, installations, and PMs.
  • Develop application notes, scientific posters, and other presentation materials in support of sales and marketing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genetics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in genetics, molecular biology, and/or oligo synthesis, with working knowledge of PCR, Real-Time PCR, nucleic acid purification, data analysis, experimental design, and oligo synthesis.
  • Preferred: Master's or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genetics, or related field, with 2-5 years of experience in genetics, molecular biology, and/or oligo synthesis.
