Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer to join our team at Verto People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of centrifugal compressed air equipment at customer sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of centrifugal compressed air equipment at customer sites.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, and technical support.
  • Install compressed air products into various manufacturing industries.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on centrifugal compressed air equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer / Electrical Engineer or similar.
  • Ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • Field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in rotating equipment such as in Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Diesel Engines, Reciprocating Engines, Centrifuges, Controls and instrumentation, Generators, Pumps or similar.
  • Full product training provided.
  • A technical mechanical engineering degree would be advantageous.
  • Fully remote role, willingness to travel UK wide and stay away 75% of the time.
