Position: Prep Technician / PDI Technician
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: OTE £31,600 (including £25,000 basic plus bonus)
Working Hours: 42 hours per week
We are looking for a dedicated Prep Technician / PDI Technician to become a vital part of our esteemed team at Lookers Newcastle Renault. In this position, you will be tasked with performing thorough pre-delivery inspections on both new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards for our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed inspections of vehicles to identify any damage or missing parts
- Executing repairs on any loose or misaligned components to ensure quality
- Installing number plates and other accessories as required
- Performing comprehensive vehicle health assessments and documenting any necessary actions
- Verifying that all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning correctly
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) along with a valid UK driving licence. You should also demonstrate self-motivation, ambition, and a commitment to upholding high standards in vehicle maintenance.
