Optometrist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a career within Hospital Optometry and will be provided with training and support to enable them to fulfill the requirements of the job description.
Main Duties:- Support the Head Optometrist in providing core Optometry services and developing both current and new extended roles.
- Undertake highly specialist advanced clinical extended roles with previous experience of training and working in extended optometry roles and shared-care clinics.
- Develop and maintain specialist skills and knowledge in clinical optometry.
- Registration with the General Optical Council (GOC) as an Optometrist.
- Postgraduate qualification in Optometry or a related field.
- Experience of working in a hospital optometry setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with patients and colleagues.

Please note that applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. The cost of the DBS application is £23 (standard) or £43 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
