The Opportunity
This is a remarkable chance to engage with a rapidly expanding general insurance division, dealing with diverse projects and a wide array of clients.
The selected candidate will assume a leadership role within the team, focusing on both market opportunity development and mentoring junior staff, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Directing client engagement teams and occasionally collaborating within a multidisciplinary group
- Delivering exceptional advisory services to our clientele
- Cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with both prospective and current clients, as well as internally within KPMG
- Conducting reserving for clients in the Lloyd's / London Market, including Lloyd's Statements of Actuarial Opinion and Solvency II Technical Provisions
- Generating new business through strategic marketing and sales initiatives
- Contributing to high-quality thought leadership via written publications, training sessions, client seminars, and conferences
- Assisting in the creation of innovative products and services
- Sharing expertise and experiences to foster team development
- Promoting and enhancing the visibility of KPMG
- Willingness to travel occasionally is required
Qualifications and Skills
The successful applicant is expected to possess experience in an Actuarial capacity or be a qualified actuary.
Experience/Knowledge
- Extensive experience in Lloyd's / London Market reserving or pricing
- Familiarity with the operations of the Lloyd's market is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and contribute to the development of tailored solutions at KPMG
- Capacity to build productive relationships that drive business
- Strong technical and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to engage with clients and senior personnel from the outset
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for tackling challenging projects, collaborating with teams from various business sectors
- Excellent project and people management skills, with the ability to organize task allocations around key objectives
- Proficient coaching skills to enhance the capabilities of junior team members
- Experience in either a consultancy or corporate environment is equally beneficial
- A curious mindset and openness to innovative approaches
- Consulting experience and market exposure
