Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Semi-Skilled Technician to join our Mechanical Maintenance team at LondonEnergy Ltd.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our plant, buildings, and grounds to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Lubricate and maintain machinery and plant, and assist qualified technicians with machine servicing.
- Conduct minor repairs to serviceable equipment, including rejointing of pipework, replacing grease nipples, and tightening flanges.
- Assist Mechanical Maintenance Technicians in task completion across all operational areas.
- Perform general labouring duties, including removal of dirt and detritus from within the plant and surrounding grounds.
- Maintain tools, equipment, lifting equipment, and the MMD workshop to a high standard.
- Operate Forklift truck, overhead crane, and pendant crane.
- Previous experience in heavy industry and an industrial background is ideal.
- Previous mechanical experience is highly advantageous.
- High level of determination and accountability for tasks.
- Considerate and approachable manner, with the ability to work in a team.
- Awareness and adherence to safe working practices.
- Previous experience working with industrial cleaning equipment or driving plant machinery and equipment is beneficial.
- A full driving license and experience of operating a small plant is advantageous.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at height.
- Salary of £34,029 per annum + 30% shift allowance.
- Pension scheme with a minimum employer contribution of 5%.
