The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Supervisor to join our team at our Avonmouth Concrete Plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, while also maintaining high-quality products and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Avonmouth Concrete Plant, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, Environmental and Quality requirements.
  • Batch concrete to the correct specification to supply the Pre-cast factory, while maintaining high-quality products and excellent customer service.
  • Effectively control all Aggregate Industries' operations on site in the safest and most efficient way possible to best contribute towards the profitability of the company.
  • Ensure that the site, plant, loader, and associated buildings are kept well maintained, in a clean, tidy, and safe condition at all times.
  • Report any action or occurrence which may jeopardise the operation in respect of health & safety, the environment, product quality (HSEQ), or customer service.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of H&S principles (SHE Qualification or comparable desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relations with others.
  • Batching concrete experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Reliability, willingness, flexibility, and ability to react and adapt to each day's requirements.
  • Efficient communication and close liaison with the on-site Plant Manager.
  • Highly organised with demonstrable planning and delivery capabilities.
  • Experience of basic maintenance practices.
  • Willingness and ability to drive a loading shovel as required (Training provided).
