Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join our team at Muller Dairy. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our dairy processing facilities, and achieving high levels of productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of production staff to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
    • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Production Planning and Control
    • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives.
    • Monitor and control production processes to ensure high levels of quality and productivity.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all production processes are carried out in accordance with company quality and safety procedures.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality and safety performance.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that production requirements are met and that waste is minimized.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement opportunities for business improvement.

Requirements

  • Education and Qualifications
    • Degree in a relevant field such as food science, engineering, or business.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a production leadership role in a dairy or food processing environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
