Crime Duty Solicitor Job Description

Gemini Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crime Duty Solicitor to join our client's team. As a leading law firm, our client provides top-notch legal services to corporate entities and private individuals across various practice areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of Crime work, including managing caseloads, attending clients, preparing cases, and dealing with correspondence. They will also be expected to maintain accurate time costing procedures and implement recommendations made by their supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal defence law, with experience in handling complex and sensitive cases. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment, provide excellent client care, and have a proactive approach to business development and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage caseloads and handle all aspects of Crime work

  • Deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures
  • Implement recommendations made by supervisor
  • Work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent client care
  • Have a proactive approach to business development and marketing

Requirements:

  • Strong background in criminal defence law
  • Experience in handling complex and sensitive cases
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Higher rights of advocacy qualification an advantage
  • Valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying
