Our Fleet Procurement Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Procurement Joint Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our new fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of the Manufacture and Supply Agreement on behalf of LNER and the Owner.
  • Lead LNER and the Owner's engagement with the manufacturer on Unit design and Unit acceptance.
  • Ensure LNER's requirements are adequately addressed through the design review process.
  • Engage with LNER staff and customers throughout the design process.
  • Ensure the manufacturer delivers a design that meets stakeholder requirements.
  • Obtain sign-off for the design from stakeholders, including Owners.
  • Maintain a focus on project delivery timescales.
  • Support the Fleet Procurement Business Change Manager in developing business transition plans.
  • Develop and implement the process for Unit Acceptance to ensure that LNER's requirements are met on each unit.
  • Provide assurance to Head of Fleet Procurement and Owners prior to signing of certificates of Acceptance.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a project management role.
  • A track record of delivering change.
  • Experience in delivering complex, high-value, or high-profile projects on time and on budget.
  • Confident and experienced in working with suppliers and contractors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to achieve consensus amongst different stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to positively influence people at all levels.
  • Ability to continually drive improvements to employee and customer safety.
  • Experience of people management.
  • Experience in working to PRINCE2 project management principles.
