Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU) team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Support and deputise for the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
- Carry out the day-to-day management and coordination of the ward/department.
- Ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre and post registration students.
- Act as an advocate for child and family, providing unsupervised nursing care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Nursing Qualification
- Holds paediatric intensive care course/modules or equivalent post-registration ICU course.
- Two years post-qualification experience with at least 6 months in Paediatric Intensive Care within the last year.
- Demonstrates experience in assessment, care planning and evaluation.
- Practice Accessor or Practice Supervisor Qualification.
- Clinical Leadership Course/skills
- Completion of preceptorship programme.
- Practice Assessor or Practice Supervisor Qualification.
- Cannulation and Venepuncture.
