Key Responsibilities
- Assuming a prominent portfolio of responsibilities, you will need to acquire knowledge of relevant areas within the Office for Local Government and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, assimilating information swiftly and establishing connections with senior personnel and their teams.
- Overseeing the Chief Executive's calendar to ensure timely interactions with essential stakeholders.
- Maintaining significant relationships with stakeholders, particularly within the department, including the sponsor team.
- Providing support during meetings by documenting notes and actions, capturing key information, and aligning it with the current strategic objectives, while ensuring that relevant tasks are completed within designated timelines.
- Efficiently managing the workflow for your principal by commissioning information, ensuring they focus on their priorities, coordinating and delivering high-quality, timely advice to inform decisions, and representing their perspectives within the organization.
- Assisting the Chief Executive in their internal and cross-government communications.
- Conducting horizon scanning to identify and analyze emerging issues for resolution.
