The Role
We are seeking a commercially astute Lead Category Strategist from the FMCG sector to drive growth within this function. This is a unique opportunity to implement meaningful change and lead strategic initiatives with a customer-centric focus:
- Redefine customer strategies and narratives - this will be your responsibility.
- Oversee full budgetary responsibilities and provide recommendations based on category insights, collaborating with Sales and broader Marketing teams.
- Engage with Customer Marketing and member hubs to analyze market and category dynamics, developing retail customer plans to seize opportunities or mitigate risks.
- Collaborate closely with media teams on potential media integration and analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Category Management within branded food or consumer sectors, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in developing insight-driven projects within a commercial team.
- Background in large FMCG organizations or extensive branded training.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- High levels of energy, ambition, and creativity.
- Strong leadership abilities, both internally and externally, to inspire others to engage in the journey.
