Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Handle a diverse range of public law family cases, including care proceedings and child protection issues.
  • Legal Guidance: Deliver thorough legal counsel to clients, ensuring they are well-informed about their rights and available options.
  • Court Advocacy: Represent clients in court, preparing all necessary legal documentation.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with social services and other relevant agencies involved in child welfare.
  • Documentation: Draft and review legal documents for precision and compliance with regulations.
  • Client Assistance: Provide compassionate support to clients throughout their legal journey.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Remain informed about current laws and best practices in family and public law.
  • Professional Growth: Participate in continuous training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor with an active practicing certificate.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in family law, particularly in public law.
  • Strong skills in advocacy and negotiation.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
  • Competence in legal research and documentation.
  • Empathy and sensitivity towards clients in vulnerable situations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of public law as it pertains to family and child protection.
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
