Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Beer52 | B-Corp. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for procuring high-quality products for our subscription services, working closely with our experienced buying and supply chain leaders to deliver exceptional value to our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Buyers on Beer & Wine with the procurement of product for Beer52 and Wine52 subscription as well as seasonal/specials boxes and additional retail opportunities.
- Assist with the selection and administration of the best products at the best prices to generate profit for the organisation and facilitate new customer acquisition and retention via quality of product.
- Work with the buyers to curate and deliver products on time, on budget and of high quality for customers to optimise retention.
- Support the buyers with the tender process for direct to brewery or contract brew purchasing, specifically targeting overall buying budget and buying terms.
- Lead administrative tasks to record and maintain accurate product descriptions, all costs and purchasing terms within the box schedule for company-wide visibility.
- Outreach to potential new suppliers, presenting our unique business model to them with a view to building a long-term win-win relationship.
- Organise and administrate internal and external quality testing processes.
- Track and monitor theme and beer performance against agreed targets, sharing results and actions with the wider company.
Requirements:
- Strong commercial skills and the ability to identify opportunities.
- Commercial and/or procurement experience in the drinks or similar industry.
- Ability to collaborate with senior buyers to curate high-quality products and to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Capacity to identify and capitalize on opportunities for monthly themes and direct brewery purchases as well as assessing market trends.
- Capable of managing purchasing terms to drive cost savings and margin improvements.
- Strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records of product descriptions, costs, and purchasing terms.
- Ability to organise and administer quality testing processes, monitor and review product performance and address any issues.
