Pertemps Lincoln is currently recruiting several Class 1 Drivers (C+E) to work on an ad hoc ongoing basis for our client based in the UK who specialise in curtain-sided ferry trailer and container work and deliver to various UK ports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely Operate a Class 1 Vehicle: Transport goods and materials across the UK, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough checks on the vehicle before and after each journey to ensure it is roadworthy and compliant with industry standards.
  • Follow Traffic and Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to ensure a safe and efficient transportation service.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 HGV License: Possess a valid Class 1 HGV license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 6 months' experience as a Class 1 HGV driver.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

Working Conditions:

  • Ad Hoc Work Schedule: Work on an ad hoc basis, with varying shifts and hours to meet the needs of the business.
  • Remote Work: May be required to work remotely from time to time, with regular check-ins and updates to management.
