Lead the Charge in Carbon Removal

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure Scientific Rigor: Develop and maintain the scientific foundation for our biomass-based carbon removal platform, ensuring internal consistency and alignment with the latest research. Evaluate options for biomass protocols to quantify net negativity, durability, uncertainty, and additionally.
  2. Support Protocol Implementation: Collaborate with the verification and technology teams to streamline the evaluation process for project compliance with biomass protocols.
  3. Analyze and Manage Leakage Risks: Design frameworks to mitigate leakage risks present in various forms of biomass feedstock sourcing.
  4. Collaborate on Research: Engage with academia, national labs, and industry partners to stay abreast of the latest in sustainable biomass research and technology development.
  5. Mentor and Support the Team: Foster a culture of scientific rigor, pragmatism, and ecosystem building through mentorship and collaboration, while helping to build internal knowledge of the science underpinning biomass sustainability.
Requirements:
  1. A PhD degree in environmental science, forestry, agriculture, agro-economics, or a related field. Highly qualified applicants with a Master's degree will be considered.
  2. A collaborative spirit and a passion for innovation, while upholding the highest scientific standards in tackling challenges related to carbon removal and storage.
