Farm Operations Manager

Finefarm, a leading mixed farm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Farm Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our family-run business, renowned for its commitment to excellence, profitability, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the integration of arable and dairy operations, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance crop yields, improve livestock welfare, and optimize farm efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the arable and dairy managers to drive business growth, improve profitability, and maintain high environmental standards.
  • Utilize advanced technology, including Gatekeeper and JD Operation Centre, to streamline operations, monitor performance, and inform decision-making.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and leadership qualities, inspiring a high-performing team.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT literacy and proficiency in PA1 and PA2 qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in arable farming, with a strong understanding of crop management, soil science, and agronomy.
  • Familiarity with livestock management, including dairy and youngstock operations.
  • Able to work independently, with a high degree of autonomy, and as part of a dynamic team.
