Maintenance Engineer Electrical & Mechanical

Location:

Salary:

£36,000 - £40,000 per annum

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Call Out Rota:

1 week in every 4, with a £120 retainer

Overtime:

Expected, with some travel to Knaresborough Data Centre

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer Electrical & Mechanical to join our team in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all critical facility PPMs are carried out to schedule and completing all reactive works requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver M&E tasks (preventative and reactive) with a high level of self-motivation
  2. Knowledge of emergency response, standby, and call-out activities and protocols
  3. Recognized apprenticeship or equivalent
  4. Authorized Person (LV & HV) certification or ambition to become one
  5. H&S focused, with training to support employer-based qualifications
  6. Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  7. 18th Edition (amendment 3) Electrical Wiring Regulations & Testing & Inspection
  8. BMS Controls Experience / HVAC Experience
  9. UPS, Standby Power, and Critical Environment Cooling operation experience an advantage
  10. Working knowledge of F-Gas an advantage
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
