About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an RE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, catering to a diverse student body.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement engaging RE lessons that meet national standards and encourage students to explore diverse religious beliefs, ethics, and values.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum, ensuring it remains current and relevant.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in department meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities, promoting a positive ethos and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
About You

We are looking for a qualified and experienced RE Teacher who possesses:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching RE at secondary level, ideally in a mixed-ability setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
