Exciting Opportunity for a Safety Systems Engineer

Location: Any UK Site

We are currently on the lookout for a skilled Safety Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team at Alexander Dennis. This position entails formulating safety specifications and executing safety strategies for various projects across our product lineup. You will work closely with engineering and supplier teams to guarantee the creation of secure vehicles for international markets.

Your responsibilities:

  • Oversee functional safety tasks throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Evaluate safety strategies for ADL projects and vehicles.
  • Offer guidance and support to engineers on functional safety deliverables.
  • Maintain requirements management systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with suppliers during the development phase.
  • Produce technical documentation and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work alongside NFI Group colleagues to formulate safety arguments for various applications.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in executing electrical/electronic projects.
  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems and controls.
  • Understanding of hardware/software quality assurance processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capability to remain composed under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
