Main Responsibilities:
1. Egress System Maintenance:
• Perform major and minor egress repairs, modifications, and technical change orders on Tornado egress systems.
• Ensure the quality and completeness of work carried out, or sign off as having been carried out, on the egress system.
• Work within the requirements of the Technical Services System Quality System and Royal Saudi Air Force Technical Orders.
• Complete Technical Services System forms, aircraft forms, records, and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure maximum effort is made to safeguard program timescales in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Provide on-the-job and theory training.
• Deputise, if required, for the supervisor.
2. Training and Certification:
• Ensure authorisations are current for the task in hand.
• Highlight areas of inexperience or training requirements, for yourself and others, to your immediate supervisor.
3. Quality Assurance and Control:
• Comply with the requirements of the Technical Services System Quality System and Royal Saudi Air Force Technical Orders/publications.
4. Health and Safety:
• Ensure Health and Safety/Duty of Care policies contained in the Technical Services System SHE Policy manual are fully understood and adhered to.
Recruitment Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:
• Completed a recognised Trade Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Completion of Tornado Egress Maintenance course.
• Tornado system testing and flight line experience.
Experience and Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years in trade speciality on the Tornado aircraft, or 5 years on fast jet aircraft.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
• Current UK/Saudi Driving Licence.
Desirable:
• Working knowledge of Q-pulse, DMS, and an understanding of M&CA processes.
• Experience of deep aircraft maintenance, Tornado.
• Experience of Royal Saudi Air Force documentation and procedures.
• Familiarity with PC use and the Microsoft Office suite.
Job Requirements:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Valid UK/Saudi Driving Licence.
