Care Home Director - Nurse (RGN / RMN)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional leadership and management to the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently maintained.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and personal growth.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those set by the Care Inspectorate (CI), and take proactive steps to address any areas requiring improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders, promoting open communication and a person-centered approach to care.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the nursing home effectively, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control, while ensuring the provision of quality care remains paramount.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing home, implementing necessary changes and improvements to enhance the overall quality of care and resident satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a care home, with a strong track record of success in delivering high-quality care and achieving excellent CQC ratings.
  • NMC pin preferred (Nurse / RGN / RMN)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, resource management, and cost control.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
