We recognize that recovery from dependency is a personal journey, and we're here to support individuals every step of the way. Our dedicated treatment and recovery services offer a safe and non-judgmental space for people to explore, make meaning, and decide what changes they'd like to make.
About the RoleWe're seeking a committed and compassionate professional to join our team as a Therapeutic Group Worker. In this role, you'll work with individuals to undertake therapeutic group work, one-to-one sessions, community asset building, and psycho-social interventions.
You'll assist individuals to recover from drug and alcohol addiction throughout the Newcastle area, working in and around Newcastle City Centre. The role involves interacting with service users and other vulnerable adults, offering emotional and practical support, coaching, and advising to help them stabilize their situation and access appropriate services and support.
The role also includes being outdoors in potentially adverse weather conditions, undertaking walking and other physical activities to support people to access and engage in community asset building that will increase confidence, self-esteem, and sustainable positive engagement with local activities in the community.
