About the Role

NHS Scotland is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our Surgical and Vascular team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential care to patients with varied vascular and surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a 28-bedded ward, meeting the needs of a wide variety of patients.
  • Rotate to the 7-bedded Vascular annex, including complex care needs, pre and post-operative care, and early rehabilitation.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient journey.
  • Work independently, supervised by the wider nursing team, and report to the Senior Charge Nurse and registered nurses.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Health and Social Care (preferred).
  • Experience in health or social care (beneficial).
  • Ability to work a fully rotational shift pattern of 12-hour days and nights.
  • Membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG scheme.
