Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at AKT II in Shoreditch, London. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a wide range of projects, from commercial and retail to education and leisure.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out structural surveys and provide initial advice on potential issues.
- Prepare conceptual and outline designs for structural schemes, working closely with the wider team.
- Develop detailed design calculations to British Standards and Eurocodes, using relevant 3D software packages.
- Produce detailed design drawings and specifications for tender purposes.
- Respond to client requests for information and provide support to colleagues from other disciplines.
- Visit construction sites to monitor progress and provide advice to contractors.
- Experience in structural design, particularly in concrete and steel structures.
- Proficiency in design and analysis software, including Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, with a desire to take on responsibility and develop your skills.
