Manufacturing Scheduler

Carbon60 is a dynamic designer and producer of advanced underwater technologies, operating within the defense industry. All applicants will be required to obtain Security Clearance.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Scheduler to become a permanent member of our team. This role is crucial within the production department of our organization. You will oversee the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, which includes managing all work orders, with a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)


• Analyzing MRP notifications for work order actions (e.g., initiating new work orders, expediting, postponing, or canceling existing work orders based on MRP alerts).


• Maintaining essential MRP information (lead times, costs, optimal batch sizes, work centers, and locations).


• Compiling and organizing work order documentation for active work orders.


• Adjusting work order start and finish dates to align with the required delivery schedule for sales orders or internal engineering tasks.


• Ensuring all work order transactions are accurately completed upon job finalization, including labor time recording, material issuance, and quantity verification.


• Modifying material and labor allocations for work orders as necessary.


• Recording completed work orders into inventory as needed.


• Generating work order shortage reports and collaborating with the purchasing team to address shortages.


• Overseeing the internal Stock Build Sales Order – forecasting and scheduling future stock builds while adjusting current stock builds as necessary.


• Collaborating closely with the Production Team Leader to develop a balanced capacity plan and master production schedule, updating related Excel reports as required.


• Assisting with the planning, administration, and shipping of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or rework orders as needed.


• Providing updates on engineering project progress and customer-related initiatives as required.
