Part-Time Junior Rowing Coach Opportunity

The 1863 Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time junior rowing coach to join our team. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will play a vital role in developing the skills and abilities of our junior rowers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the coaching of junior rowers across all squads, helping them to improve their technique and reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with our existing coaching team to develop and implement training programs that cater to the needs of our junior rowers.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior rowers, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a love of rowing and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with junior age rowers, either as a coach or in a similar role.
  • British Rowing Level 2 coaching award and RYA Powerboat 2 qualification (or willingness to complete these within a few months).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with junior rowers, coaches, and other stakeholders.
  • A passion for rowing and a commitment to developing the skills and abilities of junior rowers.
