Join Our Workshop Team

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter Technician to join our team at HMH in Aberdeenshire. As a key member of our Workshop team, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of repair, overhaul, and assembly on a variety of drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks
  • Perform all job functions in a safe manner
  • Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company standards
  • Ensure timesheets and inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
  • Carry out QC checks at Goods In point as and when required
  • Report and participate in investigation of all unsafe practices and/or behaviours
  • Suggest improvements to working practices and HMH product lines
  • Ensure adherence to all local waste management policies and procedures
  • Operate forklifts, overhead gantry cranes, and vertical lift platforms (following training)
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Good working knowledge of fluid power systems
  • Experience in pressure testing (gas and fluid based)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Ability to read schematic and layout drawings
  • Effective communication skills in English (written and oral)
