Role Overview

Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialist equipment, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Walsall. This is a permanent opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the design and development of innovative products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation for design and project reports.
  • Update 3D models and drawings to reflect design changes.
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs.
  • Verify drawings for sign-off and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with sheet metal working.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
