Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are a leading global manufacturing business seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in maintenance and repair of complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Assist in the design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures to aid production.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Ensure that annual contracts are renewed and carried out by all contractors in a timely and safe manner in accordance with Company procedures.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in City & Guilds 2330 Electrical Installation or similar, or Mechanical Engineering or NVQ in Electrical Installation.
  • Experience with ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls or similar and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC Lathe controls or similar.
  • Knowledge of lean tools, manufacturing processes, and PLC programming.
  • Self-starter with good analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be happy and confident troubleshooting and problem-solving.
