Job Opportunity

Fleet Engineer – Newtownabbey – Competitive Salary

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Engineer to collaborate with our management team at Montgomery Transport Group in Newtownabbey.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, service partners, and vendors to ensure seamless operations.

Manage the fleet maintenance budget, overseeing R&M contracts, vendor service levels, and spend control.

Lead new project work, collaborating with suppliers to deliver new equipment on time, compliant, and to specification.

Travel to meet with key vendors across the UK, organizing service review meetings and scrutinizing repairs and work orders.

Work closely with national accounts at director level, understanding customer needs and implementing solutions across a network of service providers.

Requirements:

Excellent relationship building and communication skills.

Ability to host meetings with multiple stakeholders and ensure world-class service for key accounts.

Understanding of fleet compliance and regulations.

Highly organized and a great communicator with previous experience in fleet, workshop operations, and/or engineering.

Desirable: previous experience with ADR and relevant engineering qualifications.

The successful candidate will possess a strong technical knowledge, proven communication skills, and knowledge of H&S to ensure continued compliance of our operation.
