The NVT Group, a leading provider of high-performance vibration testing and signal analysis solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to support its customers in the installation, training, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Electrodynamic Shaker & Amplifier systems.
Job Summary
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to customers across various industries, cultures, and countries. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of electronics and mechanical assembly, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support
- Provide timely and effective technical support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
- Assist customers in troubleshooting and repairing Electrodynamic Shaker & Amplifier systems.
- Installation and Maintenance
- Install and maintain Electrodynamic Shaker & Amplifier systems at customer sites.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
- Training and Technical Support
- Provide technical training to customers on the operation and maintenance of Electrodynamic Shaker & Amplifier systems.
- Develop and deliver training materials and documentation as needed.
- Travel and Logistics
- Travel up to 16 days per month (50% travel, domestic and international) to customer sites.
- Manage travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and rental cars.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics or a related field.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment, electronic components, and electromechanical systems.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical assembly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Comprehend engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of Electrical & Electronics.
- Proficiency in diagnosing/troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems and assemblies down to the component level.
- Experience in the operation, repair & maintenance of Electrodynamic Shakers & Amplifiers.
