Product Manager

We are seeking a skilled Product Manager to join our team at Westfalia Fruit, a leading multinational supplier of fresh fruit and related value-added products. As a Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our avocado supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:- Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, ensuring correct storage, ripening, and allocation to customer specifications while minimizing wastage.
- Quality Control: Inspect, control, and report on raw materials, monitor yields and defects by pallet and grower, and maintain accurate daily stock records and allocations.
- Ripening and Allocation: Oversee and manage the ripeners, update stock information on the Prophet computer system, and supervise external surveyors and maintain relevant records.
- Customer Service: Prepare customer samples as needed and conduct visits to outside stores, ports of entry, and producers as required.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to and enforce company Health and Safety policies, ensure food safety, integrity, and hygiene standards are maintained, and report any food safety or integrity concerns to management immediately.
- Experience: Experience in quality testing fruit and a strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
