About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Services Development Manager to join our team at Countrywide Mortgage Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assistance with supervisory responsibilities and achieving revenue and product sales as a Mortgage Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and develop less experienced colleagues to achieve their full potential.
  • Supervise a number of mortgage advisors, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their targets and comply with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and product sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all clients receive a high level of service.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to achieve business objectives and develop new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of financial services core products, including mortgages, life assurance, critical illness, income protection, and buildings and contents insurance.
  • Knowledge of all house purchase/move related secondary services, such as conveyancing and estate agency operations.
  • Good level of technical and e-commerce knowledge to promote the services of the group efficiently and effectively.
  • Knowledge of all financial services compliance rules and regulations, specific to a mortgage and protection business.
  • Understanding of working within a training and competence framework, coupled with a complete understanding of the requirements of the group's T&C scheme skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrably good track record in a sales and customer-facing environment.
  • Strong organisation and negotiation skills.
  • Able to identify and maximise potential business opportunities.
  • Aptitude to coach and motivate others (specifically business generation).
  • Able to identify and analyse client needs effectively to deliver good customer outcomes.

Background, Experience and Qualifications

  • Two years' experience in financial services, with ideally nine months as a senior mortgage advisor.
  • Demonstrated consistent performance in respect of business production and quality.
  • Awareness of latest products and market developments.
  • Relevant professional qualifications to fulfill the role, such as a Certificate in Financial Planning or Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP).
