Job Title: Functional Skills Maths Tutor

Gi Group is seeking a qualified Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join our team. As a Functional Skills Maths Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering Maths accredited qualifications to learners on apprenticeship programmes or pre-apprenticeship programmes.

Main Duties:
  • Deliver Functional Skills across various vocational subjects, ensuring learners complete their apprenticeship programmes on time.
  • Create, prepare, and adapt teaching materials, including Google quizzes, assessments, and assignments, to enable learners to progress.
  • Prepare Curriculum Training and Assessment Plans (CTAPS) and produce individual and group exercises to achieve learner goals.
  • Support the training team by developing teaching resources for Functional Skills.
  • Identify and support learners with additional learning needs and ensure their safeguarding and welfare.
Requirements:
  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills in Apprenticeship Programmes.
  • Experience of monitoring and tracking learner progression and achievement.
  • Level 2 in English/Literacy and Level 2 in Maths/Numeracy.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Familiarity with relevant training standards and assessment requirements.
  • Ability to travel across various locations.
