About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Global Systems Engineering Manager to join our team at GE Aviation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading global teams of engineers involved in the design, fabrication, testing, and erection of systems at various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a global team of engineers to deliver complex systems engineering projects
  • Develop and maintain specialized knowledge in relevant disciplines
  • Ensure training and licenses are up to date for team members, particularly for site intervention teams
  • Serve as a best practice/quality resource and contribute to strategy and policy development
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments in the HVDC converters space
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and ensure seamless delivery
  • Use technical expertise to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering Management
  • Expertise in Converter Valves and Cooling System Valves Design (Mechanical & Electrical), Inverters, HVDC Projects, FACTS, and Statcom
  • Proven experience leading global team activities
  • Strong understanding of site activities and importance of licenses and training for team members
  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent experience)

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
