Are you seeking a project management position with a focus on electrical systems, contributing to significant projects within the industry?

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join a leading principal MEP contractor engaged in various local initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate site operations across multiple projects, typically ranging from 4 to 6 at any given time.
  • Collaborate closely with the mechanical operations manager to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Deliver electrical installation services for new construction projects valued between £1m and £20m.
  • Partner with broader commercial teams to enhance profitability through effective design and quantity surveying.
  • Ensure that contracts are fulfilled within established timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Uphold safety standards by implementing reasonable measures to protect all personnel involved.
  • Manage project finances, including handling variations and adjustments as necessary.
  • Oversee team performance and competence, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Cultivate relationships with both new and existing clients to secure ongoing business opportunities.
  • Adhere to company standards regarding quality and timeliness in all deliverables.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a contracting environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively to optimize management processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems within commercial sectors, particularly electrical infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing larger management teams is highly desirable.
  • Possession of SMSTS and First Aid certifications would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £65,000.
