About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team at McNeil & Co. as a key member of our tax department. As a Tax Director, you will play a critical role in shaping our tax strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of tax returns, including corporate tax computations and filings.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance and accounting, to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Provide tax advice and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement changes as necessary.
- Manage and oversee tax investigations and audits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities and other stakeholders.
- Provide tax training and support to other team members.
- Contribute to the development of tax policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Accounting or tax qualification (e.g. ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA) preferred but not essential.
