Environmental Advisor Role

As an Environmental Advisor at Celsa Steel UK, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operational units with their Environmental Management Systems (EMS) compliance and permit requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate and analyze environmental data to ensure compliance with EMS duties and requirements.
  • Escalate concerns to the Environment Manager, including permit breaches, and support investigations into permit breaches and environmental incidents.
  • Lead and run environmental compliance meetings with relevant areas, challenging and supporting operational teams to deliver their environmental actions in a timely manner.
  • Coach operational teams on EMS requirements and Environmental Permit Regulations (EPR), delivering specific environmental training and awareness.
  • Plan and schedule contracted environmental site work, undertaking site audits, EMS audits, and duty of care contract audits.
  • Write, review, and update procedures in line with document control policy, ensuring clear and specific advice is given to operational teams on compliance with environmental legislation and requirements.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and experience in relevant industrial industry are essential. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with a passion for the environment, and able to challenge and set a sense of urgency when required.

This role requires a full UK driving license.
