We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to join our team at a specialized autism school. As an Autism Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with students, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement individualized strategies and interventions to support students with their specific needs, focusing on social skills development, communication, and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students' progress and achievements are monitored effectively.
  • Assist in the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons, adapting materials and resources to meet the unique learning styles of each student.
  • Support students during transitions and sensory regulation, providing a safe and structured environment that promotes their independence and well-being.
  • Encourage positive behavior and promote self-confidence and self-advocacy skills in students, fostering their personal growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Dedicated and compassionate individual with a genuine passion for supporting students with autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of autism and its impact on students.
