Hunter Selection is proud to represent a leading FMCG manufacturing organization in their search for a proficient Site Utilities Engineer. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency of utility systems that support high-speed food processing and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and upkeep of essential site utilities, including water, steam, refrigeration, and compressed air systems.
- Conduct both reactive and planned maintenance on utility infrastructure to guarantee reliability and efficiency.
- Diagnose and rectify issues with site services equipment, such as pumps, compressors, boilers, and HVAC systems.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing utility performance and reducing energy consumption.
- Engage in project work related to utility systems, including installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Perform mechanical and electrical fault finding on utility systems and associated equipment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Preferred qualifications include a completed apprenticeship or equivalent (minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering).
- Hands-on experience in a utilities or site services role within the food or FMCG/packaging sector.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with substantial mechanical repairs and installations.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices for industrial utilities such as pumps, compressors, and HVAC systems.
- Awareness of regulations and best practices for managing site services and utilities.
Shift & Benefits Overview:
- Shift Pattern: - Rotating Days & Nights (4 on, 4 off)
- Salary: - £55,000 - £60,000 plus benefits
