Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Worker to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing additional learning support to students who require it.
Key Responsibilities
- Support identified students in-class on an individual or group basis, providing tailored assistance to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Provide out-of-class academic support for learners, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
- Confidently support identified learners via online platforms, such as Teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Attend Additional Learning Support team meetings, wider college briefings, and training events to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
- Work closely with the Learning Support Worker Coordinators, Additional Learning Support Managers, and curriculum staff to refer new potential high needs learners and ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements
- A good standard of general education, including Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent), or a willingness to upskill.
- Experience of working with young people aged 16-25 with additional needs, preferably within education, but also relevant experience in health, social care, or community settings.
