Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Operational Risk Analyst to support the enhancement of our control framework by conducting assurance of control testing across all functions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management principles and be able to identify and mitigate operational risks.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Risk Management: Conduct quality reviews, taking a risk-based approach, to identify potential operational risks and ensure appropriate mitigating actions are in place.
- Control Framework Development: Support the development of a comprehensive control framework for risk management activities, including the identification and assessment of risks associated with first-line of defence (1LOD) business line activities.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide support with the production of high-quality reports and presentation packs for sharing with key stakeholders, including trend analysis and root cause identification.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with business areas to identify risks and develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk appetite metrics, as well as support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA).
- Knowledge and Experience: Strong knowledge of UK banking and risk management principles, including the three lines of defence model, risk control arrangements, and regulatory environment.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent attention to detail, strong team skills, and the ability to think creatively when resolving problems.
