About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Teledyne Gas Measurement Instruments. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you'll provide expert support on our range of gas instruments, ensuring they receive top-tier technical assistance through various channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional technical support via phone, email, and other mediums.
  • Efficiently diagnose and resolve customer issues, maintaining a high satisfaction level.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline customer issue resolution.
  • Accurately document interactions and maintain detailed customer records.
  • Conduct on-site customer training, with up to 30% travel.
  • Audit authorized Teledyne GMI Service Centers to uphold our standards.
  • Provide comprehensive training on product usage, maintenance, and servicing.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering/Electronics or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience working in gas detection or electronic instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting software applications and understanding engineering processes.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Previous experience in customer support roles.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically, with up to 30% travel.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • High proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft Excel and Adobe InDesign.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work late afternoons to support American customers.
