Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Substance Misuse Specialist

At Turning Point, we are committed to delivering high-quality mental health services that make a positive impact on people's lives. We are seeking a talented Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Substance Misuse Specialist, working closely with our Primary Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) service.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Clinical Psychologist to lead the development and delivery of psycho-social interventions within our MHTR team. As a Substance Misuse Specialist, you will work closely with our Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to ensure the effective management and governance of the service. Your expertise will be essential in building on innovative approaches developed within other Turning Point MHTR services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of psycho-social interventions within the MHTR team
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to ensure effective management and governance of the service
  • Build on innovative approaches developed within other Turning Point MHTR services
  • Provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists
  • Collaborate with local agencies and organisations to provide evidence-based psychological interventions
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or related field
  • Registration with the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Proven experience of leading and supervising clinical staff
  • Experience of working with substance misuse service users
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
